My name is Jennalle and I'm a mom to two amazing children Henry born August 20, 2009 (who happens to have ARPKD) and Olivia born July 12, 2012. Ever since my son Henry was born I have been on a mission to make his life the best it can be. After all since the moment I laid eyes on him he changed my life for the better. I believe with all my heart that we are only given what we can handle. Someone, somewhere knew that I needed Henry in my life and he needed me.
I'm currently a stay at home mom and have a photography business on the side. My weeks are filled with play dates, doctor appointments, blood pressure checks, temper tantrums, laughing, and anything else the little man decides to throw at me (besides his dinner).
I started blogging about my son when he was born in August 2009. By getting involved in the ARPKD virtual community I felt the need to keep learning and keep reaching out. I believe that one person can make a difference and it's my personal goal to do what I can to make this scary road a little easier for the next person.
Now for a little legal lingo. I am not a doctor or nurse and never went to medical school. I am not a dietician or nutritionist. I am not an ARPKD expert. I'm just a mom sharing my personal experiences and giving my own opinions. Each specific case of ARPKD is different and unique. Your Nephrologist, Dietician or Pediatrician knows your specific case and you should consult with them before making any changes in your or your child's medical plan.
